Chinese Coins

1150,00

A beautiful collection of Chinese money consisting of different parts from different periods.

  • Spade money: Zhou dynasty Ancient East – China. Spade money, Very nice piece of history, dimensions 36 x 50 mm, I think Zhou dynasty (1046 – 256 BC), cast ca. 350-250 BC.
  • Knife Money: China Hsin Dynasty Wang Mang, Length 70mm Width 30mm, I think it says “Ch'i Tao Wu-Pai”, that would say it's 500, 18.34 grams
  • Two Coins: Qing Dynasty Coin 'Kang Xi Tong Bao' Example of a typical Chinese money coin that was cast during the Qing (Ch'ing) Dynasty (1644 – 1911 AD). The diameter of the coin is 50 mm and the weight is 38.36 grams.
  • Four smaller coins: This money coin was cast during the reign of Emperor De Zong (1875-1908) who assumed the government title of Guang Xu. The inscription is guang xu tong bao (光绪通宝) and the Manchu character dung on the reverse indicates that the coin was cast at the Yantai (Chefoo) Mint in Shandong Province. The diameter of the coin is 24 mm and the weight is 3.4 grams.

The combination of this collection is very special and can be offered with a frame in which the coins are provided, so that it can be given a nice place in the interior.
