Albert Cambeen is a Belgian artist born in 1944. He made very few sculptures and was mainly a painter, draftsman, pastelist, gouachist and graphic artist. He was educated at the Academy in Ghent. In his work, he reveals a certain torment inherent in the theme of human existence, confronting the inevitable duality that this theme entails: good and evil, light and dark, expressive and hidden, figurative and exuberant on the one hand. , meditative and tending towards abstraction or purification on the other.
