Description

A very beautiful sculpture by the Houthalen artist Staf Timmers. The statue is a design for the city of Hasselt of the likeness of Dr Willems. It is made in the lost wax technique and is therefore a unique specimen (no other castings). The statue is full of bronze, which makes it very heavy.

Thanks to a special technique that he has mastered. This special technique, no molds, but directly in wax, gives him unlimited possibilities to make his images loose and full of movement, rough when necessary, or soft when melancholy plays tricks on him.
