Description
Jan Leppens (Bokrijk Genk – 1974)
Jan, the son of Rik Leppens, is opposed to the working methods of his father and grandfather, also painters. The first contact with his work is surprising, even disconcerting for many. With his idiosyncratic images and the use of bright colors he guides you into a horrifying world that will not let you go. Color, magic and symbolism drive him. The eagle – symbol of the nobility – is for Jan an all-seeing, righteous being.
