Henri Titselaar (1917-2013) established himself as an artist in Den Bosch in 1950. Ten years later he moved to the Herven, then rural. Henri Titselaar was an idiosyncratic and tireless artist. He was a skilled portrait painter, but mainly expressed himself in figurative and colorful paintings. Later he liked to experiment with styles and new techniques, and his work reflects about half a century of Dutch painting.
