Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987) was an American artist, film director and author. Warhol also worked as a music producer and actor. With his background and experience in the applied arts, Warhol was one of the protagonists of pop art in the United States in the 1950s and 60s. Warhol is also known as the silver prince of the pop.
