Famous artists support the German Olympic team on their way to Salt Lake City. A total of 16 internationally renowned artists, including Prof. Hans Baschang, Rüdiger Eschert, Prof. Max Uhlig and Giovanni Vetere, initiated the benefit edition “Colours in the Snow” at the initiative of Gallas Verlag (Munich) and Deutsche Sport-Marketing.

GERHARDNEUMAIER born 1950 in Freiburg He developed his interest in art at a young age, so that he occupied himself with the art world of Marcel Duchamps and Kurt Schwitters led him to begin formal studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, where he inscribed under the sculptor Alfred Hrdlicka. During his enrollment in Stuttgart he came into contact with professors, Baumann and Sonderborg also had a decisive influence on his artistic development. Neumaier completed his training with Hrdlicka at the Berlin Institute of Fine Arts, where Hrdlicka was also active as a professor. Neumaier founded his main studio in Stuttgart in 1982. Besides painting, the main fields of activity are linoleum printing and screen printing. Today he lives and works in a 300 square meter loft near Baden-Baden.
