First edition in an edition of 2000. A folio volume (48 cm x 32.5 cm), 123 pp (text by Louis Aragon), central notebook held by 2 laces containing 12 drawings by Picasso (portraits of Shakespeare).
The lithograph reproductions were made in the workshops of the modern printing press of de Leeuw. One of 2000 numbered copies. Red cardboard of the editor with the title of the hand of Picasso in fac-simile on the first cover. The binding is from Bonnet-Madin. The book is as it appeared Murmure, which was written as a separate short story, then appeared in La Mise à Mort, a novel (Gallimard, editor) after the conception of this book which aims to achieve a certain unity of preoccupations between Pablo Picasso and Aragon in what we might call a wallless modernism”.
