In 1986, American Pop Art artist Andy Warhol created 10 paintings of the Statue of Liberty, in honor of the fact that 100 years earlier, the Statue of Liberty was given to the American people by the French. On this basis, an edition of 500 lithographic exhibition posters was printed for the promotion of this exhibition at Lavignes-Bastille in Paris.
